IXdesign is a UI/UX design studio in Surat. We have no office in Ahmedabad — but it is the same state, a morning on the train, and half our week already runs in Figma with teams we do not share a building with.
Be clear about this first
We are in Surat. We work with Ahmedabad.
There is no IXdesign branch in Ahmedabad, no shared desk in Prahlad Nagar, and no local number that rings through to Surat. Our one studio is at 617, Laxmi Enclave 2, Katargam, Surat, and every project on this site was designed there.
What Ahmedabad gets instead is a design partner in the same state and the same time zone, close enough that meeting in person is a train ticket rather than a line item. When a project genuinely needs a room — a kickoff, a stakeholder workshop, a round of user testing with your own customers — we travel. When it does not, we stop pretending it does, because a call that could have been a Figma comment is time you paid for.
The honest version: for roughly nine weeks out of ten, working with us will feel like working with a good remote team that answers quickly and shows its work. The tenth week, when something has to be argued out face to face, we are three hours away instead of three thousand kilometres.

Complex stakeholders or a product nobody can explain in writing: we come to Ahmedabad and spend the day. Otherwise we start on a call and save you the day.

IST to IST. A question asked at eleven is answered before lunch, which is not true of the offshore studios you may have tried.

Context
Ahmedabad builds the product. The interface is usually last in the queue.
Ahmedabad has more software companies than Surat and a much larger pool of engineers, plus a steady supply of founders out of its design and management schools. What it does not have in proportion is product design capacity: teams that can decide what a screen should do before somebody builds it.
The pattern we see is consistent. A capable engineering team ships a working product in months, sells it on relationships, and then hits a wall the moment growth has to come from strangers signing up on their own. Nothing is broken. The first five minutes simply do not explain the product to anyone who was not in the sales call.
That is a design problem with a cheap diagnosis and an expensive delay. It is also why we lead with a free 15-point UX audit rather than a proposal: for most Ahmedabad teams the useful first step is a short, blunt list of what to fix, not a three-month engagement they are not yet sure they need.

Do you have an office in Ahmedabad?
No. Our only office is in Katargam, Surat. We travel to Ahmedabad for kickoffs, workshops and user testing when a project needs it, and we say so in the quote rather than hiding it.
Can you come for a first meeting before we commit?
For a project of a reasonable size, yes, and we do not charge for it. For a small brief we would rather spend that day designing than travelling, so we will suggest a call.
How do you handle handoff to an Ahmedabad development team?
Figma with documented components, states and spacing, plus a working session with your developers on the first screen. After that we stay reachable for questions rather than disappearing at delivery.
We already have a designer in-house. Is there still a reason to talk?
Often the useful thing is the audit, not the project. An outside pass over a product your own team has stared at for a year finds things that are invisible from the inside.
What does a project cost?
We quote per project after a call, once we know the number of flows and how much research the brief actually needs. We will tell you if it is too small or too large for a studio our size.
