Austin, Texas
A UI/UX design agency for Austin product teams.
We are one studio in Surat, India, and we design software: SaaS products, dashboards, websites and apps. Austin runs on Central time, so a call with your team lands in our evening. We plan the working day around that overlap instead of pretending it does not exist.
Working remotely
One studio in Surat, working with Austin.
Austin writes a great deal of business software. The product scene there is dense with B2B SaaS: sales tools, developer platforms, analytics products, marketing systems and the internal software that holds a growing company together. Most of it is built by teams of five to fifty people who have more roadmap than capacity, and who need design to keep pace with engineering rather than trail it by a quarter. We design the onboarding, the core workflow and the admin screens where the daily work actually happens. That is the job, and it is the reason a UI/UX design agency outside Austin can still be the right fit for a team inside it.
We will be plain about the arrangement, because it saves everyone time. We have one office, at Katargam in Surat, and no presence in Texas: no Austin address, no local designers, nobody who can sit in your office on a Tuesday afternoon. What we offer instead is a small studio of about eight people with roughly a decade of practice, working on your product as an extension of your team. Everything moves through scheduled calls and written documents, which suits some teams very well and does not suit others at all. We would rather you decide which one you are before we begin than discover it three weeks in.
The overlap is the part to think about before anything else. Austin is on Central time and we are on IST, so your morning is our evening, and the window where both sides are awake and working is short, sitting late in our day. We do not quote exact hours, because daylight saving moves the offset by an hour twice a year and any number we gave you in spring would be wrong by autumn. Instead we agree two or three fixed call slots a week inside that window, keep everything else in writing, and leave decisions somewhere you can read them while we are asleep.
What Austin teams ask for
The work we do most often.
SaaS product design
Onboarding, core workflows, admin views and settings: the screens a paying customer lives in every working day, and the ones that decide whether the account renews.
Dashboard and data design
Tables, charts and filters that stay readable when the numbers get dense and the screen gets small, and that hold up on a laptop in a meeting room.
Website design and redesign
Marketing sites that explain a technical product without overselling it, and that your own team can edit afterwards without calling a developer.
UX audit
A free 15-point review of your product, with the problems ranked by impact and a written reply within one working day.
How it runs
What working with us actually looks like.
A short paid discovery
One to two weeks to map the product, the users and the screens that matter. You get the findings, a plan and a fixed price for the work that follows, so the larger commitment is a decision you make with real information in front of you.
Calls in our evening
Two or three fixed slots a week inside the overlap: your morning, our evening. Everything between those calls moves in writing, so nobody has to hold a decision in their head until the next meeting.
A written update every Friday
What moved, what is blocked, what we need from you. Five minutes to read, and no status meeting to sit through.
Files you own as we go
Figma components and notes handed over as they are finished, not held back until the final invoice is paid.
Context
Why an Austin team hires a studio in India.
Design hiring in Austin is competitive and slow. Bringing in a senior product designer takes months, and the first weeks of that time go on recruiting rather than on the product. A studio gives you the same specialism without the search, on a scope you can start and stop, which is often the difference between shipping this quarter and shipping in the next one. It is also easier to scale a studio down than to scale a hire down: when the redesign ships, the engagement ends cleanly, with no awkward conversation at the end of it.
The other reason is the kind of product you are building. The software economy in Austin leans heavily on B2B SaaS, where the person who signs the contract is rarely the person who uses the screen every day. That gap between buyer and user is where interface problems hide. A polished demo convinces the buyer; the daily workflow decides whether the account renews a year later. We design for the second of those and let the first follow from it, because a product that is genuinely quick to use is also the easiest one to demonstrate.
None of this requires us to be in Texas. It requires us to understand the product, be reachable on a schedule you can plan around, and be honest about the hours we can genuinely overlap. If your team reviews work in the morning, we can meet you there. If you need a partner online late into a Central-time evening on a regular basis, we are not the right studio, and we will tell you so on the first call rather than the fifth.
We are also not the right studio for every way of working. If the design has to happen beside you, in the room, with a whiteboard and a same-day decision, the distance will frustrate you and no amount of process will fix it. What suits us is the other shape of work: a defined problem, an agreed scope and a steady cadence of calls and written updates until it is finished. Teams that plan their weeks in advance get a great deal from a studio like ours. Teams that change direction at four in the afternoon do not, and we would rather say no at the start than take the work and disappoint you halfway through it.
Questions
Questions Austin teams ask us.
Do you have an office in Austin?
No. We have one office, in Surat, India, and we work with Austin teams remotely. There is no local address, no local team and nobody claiming otherwise.
How does the time difference work in practice?
Austin is on Central time and we are on IST, so your morning is our evening. We keep two or three fixed call slots a week in that window and put everything else in writing. We agree slots rather than hours, because daylight saving shifts the offset twice a year.
What does the free UX audit include?
A 15-point review of the screens you send us, with the problems ranked by impact and the reasoning written down. It is a real review rather than a sales conversation, it is done by the people who would do the work, and you get it within one working day.
How do you keep a remote project on track?
One shared file per workstream, a weekly written update and a named person on our side who answers your questions. You should never have to ask where something has got to.
How is a project priced?
After the audit we quote a fixed price for a defined scope and hold to it. If the scope changes, we tell you what the change costs before any of the work is done. We do not bill by the hour, because that rewards slow work.
