Trading Application Design
A mobile trading app: live charts, order placement and a watchlist, designed for one-handed use.

About the project
What was designed.
A trading app is used with one thumb, usually in a hurry, and every tap moves money. The screens are built around that: a watchlist where symbol, price and change fall in the same rhythm on every row; a full-screen chart with a draggable price scrubber and the selected price stated in words underneath; an order ticket where quantity, price, limit or market, and day or GTC are each a single visible control instead of a nested menu.
Buy and sell are the only two full-width buttons in the product. They are green and red, kept apart, and placed where the thumb reaches, with market depth directly beneath so the numbers that justify a trade and the button that places it live on one screen. The palette is one deep brand colour with green and red reserved strictly for direction, so nothing decorative can be mistaken for a price movement.
